Final Comment

What talk about this book? At the same time that you have a storie of thriller, you have a beatiful love's storie. The man that love an compromised woman and aven after your death, continue care of her son. Like I said before isn't just a thriller storie, but have your character. Is a good book and we recomend.

Chapter 15 – Epilogue

Jay and Louie were in the cemetery. In front of them had a tomb, in his tombstone been writing: “Tony Lee-Kwan, son of Louie Kwan and Jessica Lee”. The restaurant was in Micki’s hand. “Jay, I’m happy that you are a private investigator” Louie said to the son.

Chapter 14 – Last Wish

Jay arrived in the hospital and went talk with Louie. In the bedroom, the old man told to Jay that Tony wasn’t Kim Lee’s son. Tony was Louie’s son and that the last Jessica’s wish was that nobody knows about this, because was a shame to Lee’s family. So Louie explains that he didn’t give to Tony the restaurant, because if he did this, everybody would know that Tony was his son. Jessica told to her sister about Tony and Wu found this sister, but she didn’t tell to the murder about Jessica’s lover. “Secrets are made to be found out with time” Jay fought.

Chapter 13 – Harry Wu

Jay talked with the polices and discovered that Tony was killed himself. With him dead, how proved Wu’s involvement? The police report was fake, like Jay thought. Jay found Tony’s phone and send a message to Harry Wu. They combined to meet each other, Jay went with two polices and put a small electronic device on that side of Jay’s jacket to record Wu when he talked. Jay met with Wu and started to describe his plain, whine Wu kept saying that he didn’t played Tony against Louie. Suddenly, the polices appeared and arrested him. Jay thought about your conversation with Wu and decided that he needed talk with Louie. He drove until the hospital.

Chapter 12 – Bad Blood

Jay entered in Tony’s apartment. He tried to talk with Tony, explained why Louie didn’t kill his’ parents. Jay said that Harry Wu was controlling Tony, because he wanted kill Louie. Jay asked to him help to get Wu but Tony declined. “It all makes sense now. That’s why Louie didn’t want me to have the restaurant. He hated me as much he hated my father!” Tony shouted. Suddenly, there was a noise as the door opened. Tony moves quickly as he heard the noise and opened his mouth to speak. The door opened and Officer Gomez came in. There was a loud noise as a gun went off. Jay closed his eyes. He felt nothing. When he opened his eyes he saw Tony Lee dead in the floor. 

Chapter 11- I loved her

In the hospital, the doctor said that maybe Louie dies. Jay took the letter that Tony has played in front of him. “Darling Jessica, I love you very much. One day we will be together, and it may be sooner than you think. Your Louie”. The letter has been written in 1975 and Tony’s mother died in 1992. And Jay’s mother? Louie didn’t love her? Louie woke up and Jay ran into his father’s room, the both were surprised, he looked fine! Louie confirmed that loves Jessica Lee, but he loves Jay’s mother too. And said that he didn’t kill Kim and Jessica. He isn’t a murder. Jay was thinking about a person who wanted kill your father. Tony tried kill Louie for revenge!  Jay went until Tony’s apartment and rang to Amy. He asked to her that in a half hour bring a few polices. 

Chapter 10 – A bad night

Jay had a short metal bar in his car. The kind used by thieves to open windows. He drove until Louie’s house, arriving there he could listen voices in the house. He tried get in for one of the windows, but he couldn’t. He tried again for the other window and… He could! He entered and continued listen voices. Louie and Jay’s voice! Jay opened the door and went into the room calmly. He saw Tony with Louie’s gun in his hand. Tony was red, breathing heavily. Louie was standing on the other side of the room. Tony asked to Louie if he loved his’ mother. He confirmed. Tony said that Louie killed his’ parent and the older men denied. Louie said that had a lot of things to explain. Tony said that Louie and his father had a fight and in the other day, he died in a car accident, he showed, too, a police report. Suddenly, Jay looked on, shocked, as Tony pointed the gun at Louie. Jay looked at Louie and heard a shot and suddenly Louie was lying on the floor. Tony was shocked and went out of home.

Chapter 9 – Danger

Jay didn’t know much about Cheung. Ha had started at The Golden Duck about two months before. Jackson called again and said that the men, who talked with Wu, had a golden pendant around his neck. Was Tony Lee! Jay tried call to Tony, but he didn’t answer. Wu had given him something – a letter maybe. Maybe he was still mad. Jay went until Tony’s apartment. As he walked toward the door, it opened suddenly, and he saw Tony’s face come out from the darkness. Tony threw Jay against the wall violently and hit him hard around his head and go out. Jay tried move his arms and his legs. Jay found a piece of paper, where was writing: “Here’s the evidence you were looking for.” Was the same handwriting as the note that had been left in his father’s kitchen. Jay drove until Louie’s house.   

Chapter 8 – A Talk

In the next morning Jay was still thinking about the night before. He and Amy were talking about why Wu or Lom could or couldn’t put fire in Louie’s kitchen. Ha gave to Amy a list of places in Chinatown and asked her to see if Harry Wu was there. Jay didn’t believe that Wu wanted a quiet life. Suddenly, the phone rang, was a men, Jackson, and see said that saw Wu in a café in the morning, he was talking with a man and this men was a The Golden Duck’s chef. Could be Tony Lee or Micki Cheung. 

Chapter 7 – At The Golden Duck

Jay and Amy went until The Golden Duck to have dinner. They talked as walked until the restaurant. Louie looked angrily to Jay, but he didn’t start a fight in front of Amy, she and Jay ate Peking Duck and she loved the food. Jay told to her about a story of the Kwan family and the restaurant, before Amy told to him that her mother wanted that she was a judge, but she didn’t wanted, so turned a investigate. When Amy arrived in her house realized that has left the purse in the restaurant.  Jay and she came back to the restaurant, when they arrived there Jay went until the restaurant, but doesn’t have anybody there. Suddenly, Tony and his father went out shouting. Tony left and Jay tried talk with Louie about what happened, but the father didn’t say anything, Jay took Amy’s purse and came back to the car. He said to Amy what saw in the kitchen. She said that he probably was angry, because he wanted be the restaurant’s manager.

Chapter 6 – A quiet life

Harry Wu was an important men in Chinatown, he got money from a lot of people; Fed Chan was a friend of Louie and has a small restaurant. Wu tried got money from him and he doesn’t pay, Wu killed him, Louie saw and told to the police what happened. “Maybe Wu wants revenge” Jay though. Jay went into three bars, looking for Wu. He was talking with the barman, when Harry Wu arrived in the place. Jay talked with him about what happened with his father and Wu said that wanted a quiet life. “Maybe there are other people with something against Louie Kwan.” Wu said and left. Was just four o’clock and Jay had already talked to two people who had something against his father.

Chapter 5 – Louie get mad

Jay tried to talk with his father, saying that he was worried and that the restaurant should be administered for Tony Lee. Louie was really angry with this and for Jay involved the police in the fire’s case and started to shout with Jay by phone. When Jay arrived in the car, he remembers who was Wu. Harry Wu was a criminal; the article said that Harry had been allowed to leave jail early. Fifteen years seemed like a short time for murder. Now Wu was on parole and he had to stay out of trouble. 

Chapter 4 – Meetings

Jay went until Bernard Lom and when he arrived there, started to talk with the Jade Harbor’s manager. “I look like a man who needs to worry about a recipe for fish?” Bernard asked, after Jay see his big house. “And you know, fathers don’t always tell their children everything.” Lom said again and Jay became uncomfortable. When he saw the newspaper, where said “Wu back in San Francisco”, this name was so familiar to him. He left to Lom’s room and go until his car. He was walking, when Tony Lee, Louie’s main chef at The Golden Duck, called him. Tony lost his parents when was sixteen years old and went live with Jay and Louie. When completed eighteen started to work in the restaurant and became a really good cook. He didn’t know who could put fire in the restaurant, because he thought that Louie was respected for everybody.

Chapter 3 – Bernard Lom

When Jay arrived in the officer, he asked to Amy a favorer. She needed go until Sonny Lo, the handwriting. He was one of those guys who could look at a piece of writing and tell you what kind of person has written it. As Amy did this, Jay was going see Bernard Lom, the owner of the Jade Harbor restaurant. He and Louie always hated each other, because Bernard said that Louie has stolen one of his most famous recipes. Maybe he put fire in Louie’s kitchen

Chapter 2 – In the kitchen

There had been a year, since the last time that Jay talked with his father. Louie Kwan was a difficult man who thought the son has to work in the family’s restaurant. Jay was the first men in his family that didn’t work with food and this left his father sad and angry. When Hay arrived in the restaurant, he and Louie discuss again about Jay’s choice. Louie didn’t want the police involved in the fire in his restaurant and show to Jay a ticket, which has the following phrases: “This is just the beginning. I know.” Louie sad he hadn’t any idea what this is mean. Jay ignores Louie’s ask and decide that will discover who put fire in the restaurant with Amy.  

Chapter 1 – A Telephone Call

It was a Monday and Jay Kwan was in his officer with his assistant, Amy Trent. She started to work a few days and had already proven its value. Jay was drinking coffee and reviewing some cases that he was caring. When, the telephone started playing and he answered quickly. Was Ken Fong, his father’s old friend, the men said that had fire in the kitchen of Jay’s father restaurant. The father was fine, so Jay want until the restaurant.
